I have a fiddle leaf fig tree!

I got a fiddle leaf fig tree! For those of you who don’t know, I’ve been wanting one for a very long time.  My tree was already about two and a half feet tall when I got it last week so it is just a miniature version of what you see in this picture. I would have taken a picture of MY tree but I am in the process of packing to move to a new apartment right when I get back from the beach so my room is full of boxes and stuff. But I will be sure to post a pic once I get situated – I haven’t even gotten a planter for it yet. I’m so excited! :) Thank you, Mallory and Monteigne!

I hope everyone has a great Thursday.

Still enjoying a little piece of heaven…

On Tuesday, my parents made one of their dreams come true by purchasing this little piece of heaven on Monteagle mountain…

I cannot wait to share more pictures because it is GORGEOUS here! The cabin is located in Sewanee, Tennessee, on the ridge of Monteagle mountain, which is about an hour from Chattanooga. I don’t know how I’ll be able to leave here tomorrow :(

Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree

I feel like I complain a lot about not having a green thumb.  But the truth is that I really don’t try very hard.  Maybe if I tried I could actually keep an orchid alive for more than a few weeks.  Although when it comes to plants, what I really want is a fiddle leaf fig tree!

Cabin Fever

Lately I’ve been dreaming of a rustic cabin.  And its making me want to make an escape to somewhere charming in the woods like this…

Just a little shack… nothing too over the top… :)

Maybe its that unfinished wood.  Maybe its the stone fireplaces.  Maybe its the wooden beams across the vaulted ceiling.  Or maybe its this hot weather that is rapidly approaching… Whatever it is, these pictures make me want to go somewhere cozy!

If anyone has a cabin they want to let me borrow for a long weekend, please feel free to leave a comment :)
