Beautiful Branches

summerfield

I’m starting to think my blog post titles are really cheesy… I just didn’t want to name this one plain “Branches”…

Anyway…

This past weekend we hosted an engagement party for a family friend at my parent’s cabin.  The party was on Saturday afternoon.  On Friday night (sort of a last minute decision) my mom and I decided to wander over to our neighbor’s land/driveway and steal borrow some branches from these huge yellow bushes that lined their driveway.  Technically we did not ask to borrow them, but they are never home and we didn’t know them so we had no choice!  We already had our minds set on making arrangements for the party out of these branches with pretty little yellow flowers.  I’m not sure what kind of bushes/flowers they were, and of course I didn’t take a picture, unfortunately.  But these arrangements made me realize what an impact pretty little branches from your neighbor’s yard can make to the look of a space.  We brought in other flowers too, but I have to say these little branches were very pretty on their own!

Take a look at how much prettier these spaces look with the addition of just a few branches (I’m not saying all of these branches came from people’s backyards, but it is possible;))

Happy Easter!!!

I hope everyone had a good Easter!  How pretty is this wreath made of tulips?  I’m so excited about this Spring weather.  But I have to admit I’m already kind of dreading 100 degree temperatures so hopefully those days will hold off… I think the temperature is supposed to get up into seventies in Atlanta today – yay!  This week I’m going to try to post some Springy pictures to put us in the mood.

Outdoor Dine Time

This past weekend the weather was absolutely gorgeous in Atlanta.  It definitely has me excited about Spring and having a tan line!   Grilling out and sitting by the pool/lake are some of my favorite things to do.  And it’s almost that time of year here in the south.

Cha Cha Charleston!

This past weekend I drove to the beautiful Charleston, South Carolina to visit one of my best friends from college.  I always forget how pretty Charleston is.  I kept telling Eleanor Anne how lucky she was to live in such a gorgeous place.  Atlanta is fine, but it is definitely not Charleston!

Next time you’re in Charleston, I highly recommend eating at Cru Cafe.  It’s in a cute house and their food is delicious!

I wasn’t even in Charleston for 48 hours so I didn’t get to take many pictures, but here ya go!

I also recommend the rooftop bar at Vendue.

Obviously, I am NOT a professional photographer :)

I hope everyone enjoyed the full moon on Saturday night.

I can’t wait to go back to Charleston!

Spring!

Spring has come early!  I’m on vacation in Orange Beach, Alabama, where the weather couldn’t be more perfect.  I thought I would post some bright and cheery pictures to show how excited I am about this Spring weather!
