Happy Independence Day / Fourth of July!!!! The weather here is not looking so great but I’m excited about a long weekend celebrating with friends and resting.
If you’re looking for a fun patriotic recipe for a cocktail, check out my friend Meme’s recipe for festive drunk strawberries. Fruit + white chocolate + vodka = what’s not to love? You’ll definitely have a happy fourth after a couple of these ;)

Whatever y’all do, have a fabulous & safe Independence Day!!!
I hope everyone had a great three day weekend. I love Memorial Day. But I think that we should take time to appreciate the people who fight for this country all 365 days of the year. An especially huge thank you goes out to those Americans who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom… Thank you!
In honor of yesterday being Valentine’s Day, I thought I’d share some lovely pink and red pretties. Actually, I forgot to make a post for Valentine’s Day. I wish I could say I’m still getting used to this blogging thing, but that doesn’t work anymore since Summerfield is more than one year old(still can’t can’t believe it! I still feel challenged in the blogging area… maybe you can tell, haha). Therefore, no excuses. I will remember my Hallmark holidays and plan my blog posts accordingly from now on ;)
By the way, this is my Valentine. He is the sweetest, cutest, most loving Valentine in the whole world! His name is Gus and I’m so sad we didn’t spend Valentine’s Day together. XO
