Here’s a sweet little guest post from one of my long time besties, Meredith. She’s mom to my tiniest (and most adorable) little buddy, Thomas, who has a nursery that’s almost as cute as he is ;)
Full disclosure – Wheeler and I have been friends over 15 years! Completely unbiased, she is a wildly talented designer. I’m very lucky to have her as a best friend for so many reasons – but I especially love how she helps turn my house into a home. Something gets moved around every time she’s here. It is no surprise that when I told her I was expecting we immediately started talking nursery. I spend so much time with Thomas in his nursery and love every detail. Being a new mom comes with a lot of unknowns – it is necessary to have a peaceful place you can relax and enjoy time with your new little one. I wanted to share how Wheeler helped make that space for me!
This armoire was a hand me down, and I love it for the extra hanging space!
Wheeler and I found this antique chest at an antique auction – I wanted something we could use after the nursery
How awesome is this art from Sophie’s Shoppe!
Wheeler pulled these train pictures out of an old coffee table book – I love how they turned out!
How cute are these restoration hardware animal heads?!
This cutie is the most important addition :)

It seems like everyone around me is either pregnant or just had a baby. It has definitely been so much fun decorating so many nurseries and getting to see all these cute babies!
Here is baby boy #1’s nursery… Before I started, the floor was covered in OLD wall-to-wall carpet, and the only furniture in the room was hand-me-down furniture from the father’s bachelor days. We added board and batten to the walls, pulled up the carpet to expose some gorgeous 1920’s original hardwood… and everything else! You can’t go wrong with Navy and White in a little boy’s room.
More nursery posts to come!
