Herringbone floors

Yesterday, I showed you some of my favorite hardwood floors.  What about herringbone hardwood floors?  Some people might call them chevron floors – whichever is fine with me.  I love seeing pictures of old New York City or Parisian apartments with gorgeous old herringbone floors.  So chic.  Take a look.

I am in LOVE with the photo above.  The light fixture.  The soft blue paint color.  Oh and the floors too.  Kobenhavns Mobelsnedkeri (yes that is apparently a designer) [source]

Hardwood heros

I’m exhausted after festivities this weekend so I’m just going to get straight to the point of this post.  I thought we’d take a look at some of my favorite hardwood floors.  Not much to say about these pictures — I just like the old, wide planks.  I know this is a broad topic, but when I look at these pictures the first thing I notice is the gorgeous floors.

You can also check out some of my favorite painted hardwood floors here.
