I’m so glad Monday is over. I’m already looking forward to the weekend (I’m hosting my friends at my parents cabin again!). Mallory Mathison Inc. seems to be very busy, as usual; and I am thankful, as usual :)… But I’m still an advocate of a 4 day work week!
These are just some pretty pictures that I had to share. I discovered them in various places in the blogging/social media world. There’s no common thread here except that I love them and had to share them with you lucky people!
The Best Feelings in the World. I would have to agree with most of these. Especially the “crawling into bed after a long day”.
For some reason I looove this house.
Love the fabric on this wing chair. Not sure of the source though.
Summerfield has a new look! What do y’all think? It was sort of an impulsive decision that I made on Friday. I’ve had the thought in the back of my head for a while, but I decided to go ahead and make a change – it has been a year after all! Hopefully there will be more pretty changes for Summerfield in the near future. Any feedback is appreciated, as always :) Let me remind you that I am definitely not a computer/blogging expert despite the fact that I’ve had this blog for over a year. There are so many things I still don’t know how to do. And I’ve had no help from anyone else… except for one of the computer technicians that works with my dad (he kindly helped me with the picture logo – it took him no time at all to do what I had been trying to figure out for days).
On Saturday, I got a surprising notification from WordPress congratulating me for one year of this blog. I can’t believe it has been an entire year (I honestly thought the anniversary was in March… oops). I don’t really know how to celebrate except to share some pretty design pictures with you. Enjoy!
One of my all time favorite houses is featured in House Beautiful’s May 2012 “All About Green” issue (another green favorite – shocking!). The New York home is decorated by Meg Braff. So you can see why it is one of my favorites. I could go on forever about it but here are some pictures:
Literally love every inch of the bedroom above. Especially the chest, chair, lamps, everything…
If I didn’t want a white kitchen, I’d want a green kitchen, of course. And notice the brass hardware. It wouldn’t be as pretty without the adorable chandelier and oriental rugs either. But the green is what makes it, obviously :)

Green grasscloth? Yes, please!
Those are the same pillow shams I have on my bed – except mine are green, of course!
The dining room is kind of dark but I like it! Walls are upholstered in green velvet.
Favorite thing about the picture above? The mustard leather chair. It’s not every day you see a mustard yellow leather wing chair ;)

I was inspired to write this post after seeing Robshaw’s apartment in the latest Elle Decor. Unfortunately the pictures/article are not online. In the article, Robshaw’s bed is a four poster metal frame with an upholstered headboard that is a variation of his Bihar headboard design.
And now for some other favorite headboard designs…

I’ve always LOVED this headboard… via Lonny
What’s not to love about this huge, green, round, ikat headboard? Can we say statement piece?
