I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I live for the weekends :)
Here are some chic pictures that have nothing to do with one another, but I had to share…
I’ve told y’all before that I love twin beds. Symmetry always catches my eye so a twin bedroom is the best opportunity to have lots and lots of symmetry. What about THREE twin beds? Love it three times as much… Not to mention how precious is this bedroom designed by Cathy Kincaid… i.e. bedspreads, beams, benches – did not even mean to use alliteration there :)
So many chic things going on in this picture below… Peacock blue door with Brass nailheads… Grasscloth on the walls… Is that a light blue painted ceiling? I wish we could see what was beyond that door: a chevron rug and hand painted wallpaper perhaps?

Sometimes I see a room like this and think “oh my gosh this is the cutest room ever – I love color!”…
And then ten minutes later I see this room and think “what? I hate color! Color is bad. Always stick to neutrals”…
In conclusion, I am completely indecisive about what I want, but I can tell other people exactly what they want… Good thing I haven’t started designing my dream house yet!
Campaign chests seem to be having a moment right now. Is it just me? I absolutely love the look. Stained or painted, the campaign style would work with any design. And the Brass hardware takes it to the next level of chic! Check out all the colors I found:
In honor of yesterday being Valentine’s Day, I thought I’d share some lovely pink and red pretties. Actually, I forgot to make a post for Valentine’s Day. I wish I could say I’m still getting used to this blogging thing, but that doesn’t work anymore since Summerfield is more than one year old(still can’t can’t believe it! I still feel challenged in the blogging area… maybe you can tell, haha). Therefore, no excuses. I will remember my Hallmark holidays and plan my blog posts accordingly from now on ;)
By the way, this is my Valentine. He is the sweetest, cutest, most loving Valentine in the whole world! His name is Gus and I’m so sad we didn’t spend Valentine’s Day together. XO

One of my all time favorite houses is featured in House Beautiful’s May 2012 “All About Green” issue (another green favorite – shocking!). The New York home is decorated by Meg Braff. So you can see why it is one of my favorites. I could go on forever about it but here are some pictures:
Literally love every inch of the bedroom above. Especially the chest, chair, lamps, everything…
If I didn’t want a white kitchen, I’d want a green kitchen, of course. And notice the brass hardware. It wouldn’t be as pretty without the adorable chandelier and oriental rugs either. But the green is what makes it, obviously :)
[paint color is Forest Moss by Benjamin Moore]
Green grasscloth? Yes, please!
Those are the same pillow shams I have on my bed – except mine are green, of course!
The dining room is kind of dark but I like it! Walls are upholstered in green velvet.
Favorite thing about the picture above? The mustard leather chair. It’s not every day you see a mustard yellow leather wing chair ;)

Black and white is sort of a tricky color combination for me. There are certain things that I cannot stand in black and white. For example, I cannot stand black and white damask – it just screams tacky. But a black and white abstract painting or drawing? I love them. I guess I’m just picky about my black and white. I usually don’t like black and white patterns or prints unless they’re super traditional or super modern. But I love a black and white stripe – you’ll see :)

I have a feeling there will be many more black and white posts to come!
