Roman Shades

Roman shades are a fun window treatment that I’ve always loved.  They’re usually a little more casual than curtains, but it’s easy to dress them up.  You can make them so many different ways:  straight, relaxed, lined, unlined, with trim, without trim… you get the point.

First up is my absolute favorite picture of a roman shade (I’ve been trying to get my mom to do some like this in her bathroom FOREVER):

I love a SHEER shade, especially this WIDE one designed by Emma Jane Pilkington.

  1. Hi Wheeler, I am now working on getting similar roman shades in our house in Va. as I “lighten” up the house from Colonial to Elegant Caribbean colors. Hoping one day you’ll come visit and see. love and hugs to you! Love you blog! (:
